| “Walking Woody’s Road (WWR), developed by Jimmy LaFave, celebrates the life and writings of legendary singer/songwriter Woody Guthrie in the centennial year of his birthday. The performance at One World Theatre will kick off the 100th birthday year of Guthrie and be the preview for the new WWR show touring in 2012. WWR features a cast of Jimmy LaFave, Eliza Gilkyson, Slaid Cleaves and Terri Hendrix celebrating the words and music of one of America’s greatest troubadours. The show chronicles Guthrie’s life through song and narration/writings with many new songs being premiered, including lyrics from the Woody Guthrie Archives.” |
